UpDated Times___Seneca East Regional Cross Country Meet

Another year has gone bye and ARES has been asked again to provide “Emergency Communications” for the Seneca East Regional Cross Country Meet, This Saturday August 27.

Seneca County ARES is looking for operators for the event.
Please contact Dan – KC8PBU to sign up.
Below is the schedule we utilized last year.

6:30 breakfast at GW’s on S Washington St, Tiffin
Then to Seneca East School, 8:00 for setup and assignments.
Races begin at 8:30 last race 2:30
Be sure to bring what you will need for the day: food, water, rain gear, HT with extra batteries (if possible) chair ect, ect ect.
Repeater for the day will be the KB8RCI Republic Repeater 147.255/444.4375/107.2

2016 Seneca County Fair Booth

Again this year the Seneca County ARES will have a display setup up in the garage area of the Public Safety Building.

We will need help with setup on July 24th at about 1:00pm.

Help with manning the booth all week (July 25-31) is also needed so any time you can come out and help would be greatly appreciated.

Weather Seminar

12:30-2:30 PM Saturday, April 9th

Ohio Amateur Radio Emergency Service (ARES) District #1 will be holding a “Severe Weather Seminar” presented by Meteorologist Ryan Wickman, WTOL-Toledo 11.

This presentation will be hosted by Seneca County Emergency Management/ARES at the Seneca County Public Safety Building, Emergency Training Center (Fairgrounds), 126 Hopewell Av, Tiffin.

All are welcome.

Antenna Talk November 9th

Antenna Talk November 9th will be at the Seneca County EOC located at the Seneca County Fairgrounds at 7:00pm.

Dan Callahan W8MTD and Jeff Potteiger WB8REI will be having a talk about ‘MAGNETIC LOOP ANTENNAS’

We will be in the training center downstairs of the EOC for the antenna talk and all are welcome to come and talk about this type of antenna.
