It’s that time again! We have been asked to provide communications for this year’s Sandusky River Clean Sweep. It will be held Saturday, August 18, with the HQ located at Hedges-Boyer Park, Pavilion 6, with a cleanup start time of 0900. We will probably need around 20 Hams, most with HT capability. We may be able to use a few mobiles as well, if you don’t have an HT. The last I participated, I believe that it only ran 4-5 hours. I will post more info as I get it. This will be a GREAT opportunity to help our community, and get us some good exposure, too. Lunch and goody bags will be provided for all participants.
ALL PARTICIPANTS will be required to sign a release beforehand to be able to participate. I will try to get some for us ahead of time, but we will probably meet early that day to finalize assigments anyhow. If you are interested, please email me at email@example.com with your name, callsign, and your HT capability.
We will plan to set up a GO KIT (or whatever the proper name is!) for our CP, and will have Repeater or Simplex info available before, so you can be programmed up and ready to go. I look forward to seeing a BUNCH of you there, and look for more info as it becomes available.
Best 73’s, Scott KE8JC

**UPDATE** Please begin contacting me now, so I can start my list. We will be inviting the CERT group to assist us as well as to provide first-aid for the various cleanup groups. I would like to have a very strong ARES turnout for this event. ALSO – we need everyone there between 8:00 and 8:15 for registration and assignments. Your assistance and cooperation are essential and much appreciated. Thank you!
