Amateur Radio Testing
Wednesday, November 12, 2014 at 6:00 PM
Seneca County ARES will be offering testing for all three levels of Amateur Radio Licensing. The test is open to the public and no appointment is required. The exam will be proctored by Volunteer Examiners affiliated with the Amateur Radio Relay League, or ARRL. The exam will be offered upstairs at the Seneca County Public Safety Building on Hopewell Avenue inside the Fairgounds in Tiffin, Ohio.
If you are already licensed, please bring a copy of your license with you. If not, please bring a photo ID as well as your FRN number if you have it. Using an FRN will expedite your licensing once it is approved, but you may choose to use your SSN if you like. You may bring a calculator with you as well, but it must be cleared of any previous calculations or formulas, and Examiners will need to verify this. There is a nominal $15 fee for the testing to cover supplies, and cash or check are acceptable. Checks should be made out to “ARRL VEC”. Once you pass the test for the Tech or General, you may take the next higher level exam at this session for no additional charge. For additional information or to let us know that you plan to come, please email Jim Yoder, W8ERW, at email@example.com.
